Jerry and Cindy Woolery

I was born in 1954 in Aza, Okinawa-Japan.  I became a Christian 16 yrs. later, when my father was stationed there.  I met Cindy while living in Rapid City, S.D.  She and I later attended Palm Beach Atlantic College, where we both received Bachelor degrees.

After graduating from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, we moved Charlotte.  In 1983 we began our ministry at Albemarle Road Baptist Church which later merged with Chantily Baptist  to become Cornerstone Baptist Church.  We feel blessed to be a part of the past, present and future of Cornerstone.

George and Nancy Bridges

Growing up in Raleigh, I went to Mars Hill College and met Nancy. We married in December 1969, on my way to Vietnam. From combat, I served in the U.S Occupation forces in Berlin, West Germany,1970 where she was able to join me. After military service, I entered Pharmacy School at UNC-CH and graduated in 1974.  I was employed as a  Pharmacist- Pharmacy Manager for Eckerd Drugs for thirty-one years. Upon retiring, two units of Clinical Pastoral Education Masters level training were completed at Carolinas Healthcare. Specializing in Rehabilitation and Nursing Home Pastoral Care, I worked as a PRN Hospital Chaplain for four and a half years. Having been ordained a Deacon in 1978 and licensed into the Ministry in January, 2010, I have since served as Chaplain in the Congregational Care Ministry for Cornerstone’s homebound and nursing home members. I am completing a Diploma in Pastoral Ministries as an Independent Study Seminary Extension student through the Southern Baptist Seminaries. We have three adult children and two red-headed granddaughters.

Kristin Arce

I have a passion for reaching and teaching the next generation for Christ.  My goal is to make all our children's programs gospel-centered, safe and fun for kids.  I worked at a five star preschool for years before coming to help start a brand-new preschool program at Cornerstone in September 2011.  In the fall of 2014, I moved from directing the weekday preschool to leading the children's ministries at Cornerstone.  I've completed coursework in Early Childhood Education and earned my associate’s degree in Culinary Technology.  My favorite activities are flower and vegetable gardening and cooking for crowds.  I live in Indian Trail with my husband, our two young daughters and one very lazy hound dog.
