Ministries in the Church

Men's Ministry

The Men's Ministry at Cornerstone Baptist has a long history of service to the church and the wider community. 1 Corinthians affirms that we all have gifts and abilities for service, and whether it's building a porch on an mission trip, serving hot meals during a Disaster Relief effort, or just landscaping around the church there are dozens of ways to serve. Are you are a man after David's heart? Do you seek the fellowship of Christian brothers? Are you ready to put your special gifts, experience, and talents into action? If so, then come to our next Men's Breakfast and learn more, for "as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another" (Proverbs 17:7).

Women's Ministry

Cornerstone's Women's Ministry provides a variety of opportunities for women to fellowship with each other and serve the Lord in different ways.  Women on Mission is a group that meets the second Thursday of each month at 10:30 AM to learn about the work of missionaries at home and abroad which frequently includes a guest speaker or missionary to lead the meeting.  If you enjoy reading, the Round Table group meets at 1:30 PM on the third Thursday of the month to discuss the book of the month and pray for missionaries and other concerns.  The Cornerstone Crafters group meets as announced on Thursday nights to work on a variety of craft projects such as floral arrangements, crochet / knitting, bow making, painting, etc.  And periodically throughout the year there are special retreats and other fellowship events to encourage women to draw closer in their relationship with the Lord and to get to know one each other better.

C360 Young Adult Ministry

Young Adults ages 18-29 meet in room 101 on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. We will be digging deep and proving our faith relevant amongst our cultural pressures. According to a LifeWay study from 2007, "70 percent of young adults ages 23-30 stopped attending church regularly for at least a year between ages 18-22." We want to close that gap.

Youth Ministry

Cornerstone's Youth Ministry exists to help teenagers connect with Christ, His Church, and the World.  We are a diverse group of teenagers from 6th grade through 12th grade.  We are an active group that provides events and activities for both fun and spiritual growth such as: PHAT Friday's, Football Parties, Cookouts, Summer Camps, Mission Trips, Concerts, and many various other opportunities.

Children's Ministry

The children's ministry at Cornerstone is a safe and nurturing enviorment for children to grow.  Our volunteers exhibit the love and grace of God in their interaction with the children.  The Children's ministry provides age-appropriate services, activities, and programs to educate children in the teachings of the Bible and give them many opportunities to fellowship with one another.  Some programs include Upward Basketball and Cheerleading, Royal Ambassadors (RAs), (GAs),  Vacation Bible School, and summer camp.

Royal Ambassadors (RA's) is a Bible-centered, church-based missions education organization for boys in grades 1-6. The Cornerstone RA program focuses on character and confidence building, inspiring boys to grow into young men of faith. With the guidance of strong, masculine role models, RAs go on camping trips, build derby cars, and participate in other physical and spiritual enrichment. Our goal is to help develop young men with and heart for Christ, who daily live out the the RA motto, "We are ambassadors for Christ" (2 Corinthians 5:20).

Girls in Action (GA’s) is a ministry that engages first through sixth grade girls in fun and faith-building activities each Wednesday night. With its missions and education focus, the GA program creates a firm foundation of Christian faith, as well as instilling a lasting sense of self-respect and self-worth. Are you looking for a fun environment for your daughter, which reinforces the same values you teach at home? Come visit Wednesday nights and learn everything the GA program has to offer.

Seniors Ministry

Our Senior's Ministry allows Cornerstone's senior adults an opportunity to connect with one another for Bible study, service, fellowship, and care for one another through sickness and loss.  Sharing their skills, wisdom, and experiences, our Senior's Ministry serve the church and the community in an effort to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Several times a year our seniors head out on group trips to fellowship with one another while experiencing new places together.

Special Need's Ministry

The Cornerstone Special Needs Ministry, called the Shepard's Flock class, reaches out to people of all ages with a variety of disabilities.  The class actively participates in mission activities and fellowship events to fulfill the Great Commission at Cornerstone and has an average attendance of 15 to 30 people each Sunday.

Cornerstone's Music Ministry

Our music ministry exists to exalt the Lord, evangelize the lost and encourage the laity.  We offer music experiences for all age groups beginning at age 3.  Through our music program we are teaching our members how to worship God, share their faith, and build musical talents.  College students and adults are invited to participate in the following groups:  Worship Choir, Celebration Ringers (handbell choir), Celebration Singers (small ensemble of auditioned singers), and Praise Team (singers and band members).  These groups rehearse on either Tuesday evenings, Wednesday evenings or Sunday nights.  We are always happy when the Lord sends us new members, so please join us in one of our rehearsals and help us to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord".
